Ummet Ozcan doesn’t really sound like a DJ’s name to us. But this Dutch/Turkish DJ is definitely a star on the rise – you’ll know his number one hits ‘Reboot’ and ‘The Box’, and nod in appreciation of his collaboration with Paul van Dyk. He’s played international festivals Godskitchen, Tomorrowland and A State of Trance, and walked away with a global fan base.
Ozcan is also known for his softsynth and soundbank design for well-established music software houses. He is currently developing a new synthesiser along with spectacular unheard of sounds. Plus, Ozcan has been working on a few new anthems that we’re sure he’ll be playing for his fans. Local DJs Blink, Goldfish and Hypeembeats will be supporting on decks. ‘Ummet Ozcan’ might not roll off your tongue, but we suggest that you remember (and try to pronounce) this name. Ian Loh
