SIFU Production’s Lo Mio and Chiu Liet: Forbidden Love in Forbidden City

The Actors Studio Seni Teater Rakyat presents a SIFU Production original adaptation of the classic love story of Romeo and Juliet with ‘Lo Mio and Chiu Liet: Forbidden Love in Forbidden City’. Written by Freddy Tan and UiHua Cheah, this variation of William Shakespeare’s celebrated play is set in turn-of-the-century China. Caught in the middle of a cultural conflict between the westernised House of Chiu and the feudalist House of Lo, the two lovers are divided and their love cannot blossom. ‘Lo Mio and Chiu Liet: Forbidden Love in Forbidden City’ is a bilingual production of English and Chinese with subtitles provided.
