Time Out says

A free discussion and Q&A at which alumni of the University of Brighton’s acclaimed BA Photography course will reflect on the question ‘what would you tell your student self now?’. Led by course tutor and Magnum photographer Mark Power, the panel includes Lisa Barnard, Stuart Griffiths, Laura Pannack and Martin Seeds. Also part of the evening is the opportunity to view prints donated by alumni and tutors, for sale in an online auction at www.21years.co.uk. The talk and auction are a fundraiser for twin publications, one celebrating the achievements of selected alumni, the other showcasing the Class of 2013. The auction is live now and ends on April 24 – third year students will be on hand on the night to help people place bids. This year’s graduating students will also be selling prints of their own work anonymously, secret-postcard style, at £20 each. So if you can’t stretch to a Mark Power you can still take away something on the night. Co-hosted by Miniclick, which organizes photographic and film-making talks, the event takes place at The Old Market, Hove (20 min walk from Brighton Station). Doors open at 6pm. London photography buffs won’t be daunted by the short train journey for what promises to be a good night – but if you can’t make the talk you can still bid online.
