London, you’re beautiful. No, scrap that. London, you’re wild. Angry. Delicious. How do you sum up a city that changes its look as often as its underwear and always has plenty to say? That’s the challenge we set ourselves when we decided to draw up a definitive list of the best photographs ever taken of the capital.
Earlier this month we launched the first ever Time Out photo competition and asked you to send us your best shots of our city. Legendary photographer Martin Parr picked the six winning photos from across the categories (Real Londoners; On the Move; Beautiful London; Wild London; Delicious; and Weird and Wonderful) and we've been revealing the runners-up ever since. This week we've unleashed the 22 'wild' photos which nearly made the cut, featuring London’s swans, squirrels, seagulls and swarms of pigeons.
