Being the first museum to collect photographs in 1852, the V&A is now putting on a retrospective of photography’s brilliant in both, technique and artistry. This display of selected works from 1840 and 1970, starring such prominent photographers as Eugène Atget (views of ‘Old Paris’), Henri Cartier-Bresson, Man Ray, Alfred Stieglitz, Irving Penn and Bernd and Hilla Becher.
