Lines, waves and shadows eat into vaguely recognisable images in this exhibition to address the way in which architectural landscapes are constantly shifting between structure and dissolution. Thanks to the process of photocopying photographs onto watercolour paper and then manipulating them with a variety of drawing materials, no two of Hamilton’s images are similar – each is open to the spontaneity of intervention. These experimental pieces sit alongside Venetis’ drawing series Anemic Archives which depict real and imaginary scenes from Greek life, drawn on to the insides of book covers and curated to suggest some kind of inherent, continuous narrative.
