Back in the 1960s, design champion Zeev Aram introduced the likes of Alvar Aalto, Marcel Breuer, Le Corbusier and Arne Jacobsen to UK homes through his long-gone King’s Road store. This impressive five-storey space replaced it, stocking furniture, lighting, textiles and other home accessories. Alongside the classics, Aram also stocks contemporary works by both established designers – Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Hella Jongerius and Massimo Morozzi – and emerging ones. Lighting comes from top manufacturers such as Artemide and Flos, furniture from brands like Herman Miller and Hitch Mylius. Head to the basement for funky accessories and tableware. Aram is the biggest stockist of Interlübke’s storage systems, and the only UK stockist of authorised Eileen Grey designs. It also often stocks special editions.
