I used to love this place and was attending various events regulary, but after my today's visit at the cafe I would advice everyone to check what they've been charge for at the bar/cafe. Staff was rude and obviously they count on your mistakes (no bill for your purchase). I was disgusted by their attitude and a lack of basic customer service skills.

I moved to Finchley over a year ago after living in Islington for many years. I had no expectation of cool places to go when moving to Finchley,I wanted leafy streets and slightly cleaner air! Thanks to the Artsdepo (and some other haunts around the borough of Barnet) I get both!

The Artsdepo is a fab place to watch comedy especially, most big comedians (mostly who also live in London) do their warm up shows before hitting the arena's,which is brill! If you are snappy with getting tickets, you can get to see the likes of Michael McIntyre or Sarah Millican in a small venue. I saw Russell Brand last week in their smaller theatre, which holds 150 people. Brand was terrible but the setting was super! Edinburgh Festival shows and lots of up and coming funny folk doing their shows there too.

The Artsdepo has two spaces, one at 400 and the other 150. Aside from comedy they also have an array of fab touring children's shows, some West End touring shows (I remember seeing Bad Jews having a small run there)

They have a nice cafe/bar and easy access parking too. A welcome addition to the community of Finchley and a great North London secret!

This always feels a bit like a North London secret, as it never seems to get a lot of attention. But there's always interesting stuff going on, a lot of good comedy shows, and lots to keep children entertained.
