Cy Twombly: Sculpture

Time Out says

Friendly warning! We're working hard to be accurate. But these are unusual times, so please check that events are still happening.

Cy Twombly's paintings often directly referenced ancient Greek sources, while his less-famous sculptures riff on antiquity in a different way. The artist coated found items in a white paint he called 'marble', referencing the material used by classical sculptors while subverting the ideas of its smooth, perfect surface. Admire these tactile creations at the Gagosian's Grovesnor Hill space this autumn.
