Inspired by the Victorian Arts and Crafts movement, David Thorpe creates traditional-style botanical illustrations from natural substances to revisit the historical figure of the artisan creative. Another technique the Berlin-based artist borrows from art history is the gift of making fruit and veg look like umm... something other than fruit and veg.
