The influential husband and wife duo Bernd and Hilla Becher taught at Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in the mid-1970s, spurring a prominent group of photographers. Here, 20 seminal works by artists including Candida Höfer, Andreas Gursky, Axel Hütte, Thomas Ruff, Elger Esser and Thomas Struth are brought together to explore how the Becher’s approach to documentary photography developed and expanded through the eyes of younger and experimental eyes.
