2019 is the 100-year anniversary of the Bauhaus and, accordingly, the year has been filled with celebratory events. This solo show at the Zabludowicz Collection isn't specifically billed as Bauhaus-related, but in a neat linking up of events it displays the works of a contemporary artist, Fay Zmija Nicolson, directly influenced by the German art movement. The exhibition features two Bauhaus-inspired pieces. One is the on-going series of digital printed silks titled 'We Exist! We have the Will! We are Producing!' The other is a new audio and performance work alluding to Bauhaus musician and educationalist Gertrud Grunow who pioneered theories linking colour to music and movement.
