This exhibition will challenge your perception of Japan, as 27 groundbreaking Japanese female artists are displayed at the Photographers Gallery. Spanning the 1950s to the present day, themes covered in the show include identity, pop culture, fashion and everyday life. Internationally renowned photographers will be displayed alongside lesser known, perhaps overlooked, names, with works by Ishikawa Mao, Ishiuchi Miyako, Katayama Mari, Kawauchi Rinko, Ninagawa Mika, Nishimura Tamiko and more.
