Last year, Jeremy Deller resurrected the Victorian artist and designer William Morris as a colossus who threw Roman Ambromvich’s 377-foot yacht, Luna into the Venetian lagoon. The site-specific wall painting was part of Deller’s British Pavilion exhibition ‘English Magic’ at the Venice Biennale, which is touring the UK this year. Its first port of call is aptly at the William Morris Gallery, where the room dedicated and inspired by Morris will be recreated.
