The figurative painter turns his attention to unpopulated environments. Instead of his usual staged scenarios inhabited by groups of people or families, Wateridge paints garage doors, lawns and lifts. Developed during his time in Los Angeles in 2013, these new large-scale paintings explore the transitional spaces that contain and obstruct our daily lives.
