The Icelandic artist has cut through the gallery’s architecture to create her grotto-like sculptural installation, ‘Supra Terram’. Continuing her interest in disorientating the viewer Sigurðardóttir plays with the dichotomies of perception by creating an environment that can be experienced in numerous ways. Part sanctuary, part stage, ‘Supra Terram’ intertwines public and private space to explore how altering physical boundaries impacts on our perceived reality.
