Nestled in the heart of artsy Bermondsey Street is the London Glassblowing studio. After stupidly trying to visit the nearby Fashion & Textiles museum and White Cube on a Monday when they're closed, I was relieved to find at least one other attraction that didn't entail navigating through the tourists in Borough market. Initially entering as a time-filler, we were pleasantly surprised to find a full working studio. There's a row of seats allowing visitors to stop and watch the artists in action. As it's the Christmas season, we were even offered free homemade mulled wine and mince pies, which was a very welcome treat given the arctic temperatures outside! They also have free wifi and encourage visitors to share their snaps of their visit. The pieces they create are beautiful, there's a good range of different artist's work ranging in price from £50 to thousands. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend popping in.
