Sketch pads at the ready for this day of drawing around London’s famous Covent Garden. Organised by notepad gurus Moleskine, this day of doodling will be presided over by the Urban Sketchers, a collective of thoroughly talented draftsmen who want people to engage in their city through drawing. Four of the groups members, Adebanji Alade, James Hobbs, Andrea Joseph and Olha Pryymak will be live-sketching around the historic site inviting passer-bys to tap into their creative skills. There’ll also be learning sessions, with said sketchers taking place at 11.30am, 2.30pm and 4.30pm at London Graphic Centre and Moleskine’s Covent Garden store, 40 King St WC2E 8JS.
Don’t worry if you have nothing to draw on, the first 150 participants will get a free Moleskine sketch album, all you need to do is download a coupon from here. Once you’ve created your mini masterpieces you can become one of a growing online community who’ve seen the beauty of urban living.
