Patricia Treib's large, gestural paintings are nearly always completed over the duration of one day. This preference for speed leads to soft, sensual abstract shapes woven into unfussy, fluid compositions. Rich, naturalistic colours combine with light backgrounds to produce bold but calming artworks.
