Inspired by her time in Rome during a residency at The American Academy and in particular the drapery depicted in Renaissance and Baroque paintings, the American artist presents new monochrome fabric floor sculptures. Known for her use of colourful material, Apfelbaum’s latest pieces echo the architectural space in which they are shown and mimic the way drapery can conceal and reveal scenarios.
