Robin and Lucienne Day: Design & The Modern Interior

Robin and Lucienne Day worked separately as furniture maker and textile designer and never in any official capacity as partners. Yet, when exhibited together, as they are in this commemorative display their works not only chime with and mutually complement the other's, but collectively come to define a whole style of interior decoration, once known as the 'New Look' (in keeping with the fashion innovations of the times) but now simply considered as the very height of 'midcentury modern'.
