Aside to his highly publicized life as a Soho dandy, the ill-fated Sebastian Horsley, who died of an overdose in 2010, was also a painter and performance artist. Utilising upon his personal exploits and tortured soul, Horsley created morose expressive work often imbued with a sense of religiosity. Paintings from ‘The Flowers of Evil’ and 'Crucifixion' series will be shown alongside footage of his daring crucifixion performance in the Philippines that lasted only 20 minutes before his foot rest broke and he fell.
