Now in its 15th year, this annual competition-slash-exhibition celebrates photography in all its forms: from landscape to portraiture, and wildlife to fine art. It’s a truly global affair that recognises one amazing photo per nation by photographers from more than 60 countries.
This year’s exhibition also includes more than a dozen works by Edward Burtynsky, the latest recipient of the Outstanding Contribution to Photography prize. The Canadian photographer is known for capturing industrial landscapes and the wider environmental crisis with his beautifully sweeping images.
The exhibition begins on 13 April, the day after the overall winners in the Student, Youth, Open and Professional categories are announced, and runs daily until 2 May.
