[title]
Recent works by two emerging Asian artists. Bongsu Park, a South Korean London-based artist, confronts personal existential concerns and the paradoxically nurturing yet imprisoning qualities of the womb through experimental dance pieces. Miyazaki’s sculptures address more specific ideas, such as the fragile state of Japan after the 2011 tsunami. His works combining origami and car engine pieces are intentionally paired with various sounds, from the innocent jingles of Japanese supermarkets to the chilling announcement of a suicide in the Tokyo metro system.
