Born and raised in Yokohama, Japan, the artistic style of Hiroyasa Tsuri stems from skateboard graphics and graffiti culture. Having immersed himself in Melbourne’s local street art scene when he moved there at age 18, where he created artworks under the name Twoone, he has since become internationally known for his impressive, large scale murals. Animal heads have been featured in his previous works, and Twoone further explores this motif in his new series, which features the heads of hunted animals, and infuses playfully bright colours with a subtle violence.
