Victor Burgin: UK76
Time Out says
Friendly warning! We're working hard to be accurate. But these are unusual times, so please check that events are still happening.
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the conceptual artist’s seminal photo-text series, UK76, the work is shown here in its entirety and as it would have originally been exhibited, pasted directly to the gallery’s walls and scrapped off at the end of the show. Known for his interplay between visual and written language, Burgin’s large format prints form a snapshot of Britain’s turbulent economic, political and societal position in 1976.
