What do cookie jars, prosthetic glass eyes, miniature elephants and tribal masks have in common? They all form part of the amazing personal collections belonging to famous artists including Peter Blake, Hiroshi Sugimoto and Andy Warhol that will go on display at the Barbican’s Magnificent Obsessions (Thu Feb 12 – Mon May 25) this spring.
To celebrate the Barbican’s Magnificent Obsessions Exhibition, we’re giving away tickets to an exclusive private view. Guests will have access to the exhibition on the evening of Tuesday April 28, when they’ll be greeted with a drinks reception and a talk from the exhibition’s associate curator.
Lucky readers will have the opportunity to explore the Magnificent Obsessions exhibition, which is running at the Barbican until 25 May 2015. The Barbican’s spring blockbuster showcases 14 artists' personal collections, a veritable cornucopia of all things eccentric, rare and curious. You'll be able to browse collections from Peter Blake, Damien Hirst and even Andy Warhol in an exhibition that at times feels more like being in some fantastic bazaar.
