The Chinese artist’s work explores loss, absence and political conflict. Drawing on recent family histories as well as fictional narratives, Feng’s ambiguous and faceless subjects hover between the persecutors and the prisoners. The RCA graduates work challenges the storytelling potential of contemporary drawing and painting.
