A Grade II-listed park with an 'urban beach', which first opened in 1903 and was restored in 2012, consisting of a bed of clean sand around one side of the lake. Bishops Park also boasts the usual (and some unusual) facilities, including playgrounds, a skate bowl, sculpture garden, tennis and basketball courts, a Spanish War memorial garden and two meadows.
