Time Out says

A palladian villa designed by Sir Robert Taylor, architect of the Bank of England, and landscaped by Nathaniel Richmond, assistant to Capability Brown. Built in the 1760s, the house was restored with the help of English Heritage and opened to the public in spring 2005.
