Greenwich Heritage Centre combines the former borough museum and local history library. Permanent exhibitions include a history of the Royal Arsenal and Woolwich Dockyard from Tudor times to the present, while the Greenwich Millennium Embroideries were stitched by 40 local women and depict the history of the area and its inhabitants, from the Celts to the twentieth century. The centre holds many documents which facilitate family-history research. A children’s Saturday Club and the Greenwich ‘48 Club for senior citizens are among the activities on offer for people who want to get involved at the centre.
