Horniman Museum Aquarium
Laura Mtungwazi
The Horniman's aquarium enables visitors to find out what’s lurking in British ponds, get up close with exotic creatures including sea horses and study Pacific coral reef and Amazonian rainforest. Among the inhabitants is Anableps anableps, called the 'four-eyed fish' due to its eyes that are adapted to allow vision above and below water simultaneously.

Small but cheap and perfectly formed. Often with a fair number of small children looking slightly confused, it's worth visiting just to see a frogfish up close, make friends with a lobster and play spot the frog before you leave.
