Live Music Sculpture

Visitors on October 1 and 2 will be serenaded by five musicians including a soprano as they climb the Monument's 311 steps. Located at the bottom of the stairs and in the Monument's four large alcoves, the musicians perform a 15-minute piece composed by Samuel Bordoli, which is designed to work with the different acoustics of the 'vertical performance space' and is repeated at regular intervals.
