This tucked away Thameside park was originally created by Sir Leonard Lyle (of Tate & Lyle fame) as a place for local industrial workers to get some fresh air. Its heritage is visible in its impressive wrought iron gates, which originally belonged to one of the shipbuilders that used to fill the docklands.
