The oldest public park in Lewisham, Mayow opened in 1878 as a green space, studded with ancient English oak trees, for gardenless Londoners to enjoy. These days it's a community hub, home to a community garden and orchard, as well as a nature reserve, meadow area, outdoor gym, tennis courts and cricket pitch.
