Nunhead Cemetery Voluntary Work Day

These sessions take place on the first Sunday of every month, no matter what the weather. Work includes tree pruning, pond building, monument restoration and – for the less energetic – inscription recording. Tools and tea are provided and everyone is welcome. The Victorian cemetery is a gothic, foliage-strewn urban retreat watched over by 1,000 ivy-draped angels. It is open daily 7.30am-7pm (8am-4pm during the winter months).
