The Parkland Walk

Time Out says

A pretty green walkway along an abandoned railway line in north London

This 4.5 mile green walkway follows the course of the abandoned railway line that once ran between Finsbury Park and Alexandra Palace. Walkers and cyclists can go through tunnels, past old train stations and under the mysterious Crouch End Spriggan.

Like no other greenspace in London, this path between Finsbury Park and Highgate is charming, with an assortment of graffiti, residential gardens, old infrastructure, and other things to take a gander at.

I love any little piece of greenery I can find in our big city, and this walk is one of my faves. It can get busy at weekends and in the evenings with runners and dog walkers, but otherwise its a fairly tranquil walk with lots of interesting hidden statues and colourful wall art.
