Shoreditch park is not one of the biggest in London but it's quite a good spot (walking distance from Hoxton station) for pic nic or to play outdoor games.

I love watching Rugby tag over there during the summer.

One thing to keep in mind though, barbecues are not allowed anymore in this park!

A wonderful green open space, great for all ages. Set back a few minutes walk away from Old Street, Shoreditch Park is a stark contrast to the unending stream of traffic and sterility of Silicon roundabout.

The park is vast  with a number of pathways connecting sculptures, a giant granite boulder, grassy expanses and a playpark for kids. I visited on a lovely sunny day and sat on one of the many benches scattered around the top end of the park to enjoy the beautiful views.

Just a bit further past the park, away from Old street, is access to the canal too which is also a lovely walking area on a nice day.
