This is a beautiful park to sit and read a book to walk and take in the expanse of the park or the beautiful garden at the very end. I love being out in the fresh air and for a location that is so close to central London it was surprisingly tranquil. You know when somewhere is good to be if it attracts a variety of different people, that are often looking for a similar escape like many of us are.

A quick Google search helped me find this one, I think more should be done to promote it. It's beautiful, large and offers so much.

Southwark Park has everything you could need and is kept in really nice condition

Nice local park with lots of green, tennis courts, two art galleries, children's play areas, cafe and a small boating lake!

Simply beautiful. So much so that I'm jealous of other people from outside the borough finding out about it haha.

Southwark Park is my local one and it's amazing. I can't believe no one has written a review of it yet! This big spacious beauty sits between Bermondsey, Rotherhithe, Surrey Quays and Canada Water and it's accessible from any of those tube stops. This park has tennis courts (often free early morning), a loop around the outside which is great for jogging, a duck pond, a kids' play park, a rose garden and a bandstand. Oh, and a gallery casually in the middle of it. And a cafe. Sorry but how much more can you ask from a London park? <3
