Friendly warning! We're working hard to be accurate. But these are unusual times, so please check that venues remain open.
The oldest of three churches of St Botolph in the City, this handsome monument was built at the gates of Roman London as a homage to and to ask the intercession of the patron saint of travellers. The building was reconstructed by George Dance in 1744 and a beautiful ornamental ceiling was added in the 19th century by John Francis Bentley, who also created Westminster Cathedral.
