Beer, burgers and a little bit more at this independent bar, which began life as a pop-up, but is so popular they've stayed put.

Best craft beer bar in the area by some distance, great beer, great staff

Yes. 100% yes. Warm and welcoming - a community asset and local success story. The absolute best beer and a talented kitchen make this place a real gem.

Simple comfort done to perfection. What more could you want from a pub than a locally brewed ale and a perfectly cooked burger

It a small intimate bar with great beer. They also do great beer and great beer. Did I mention the great beer!! Bring on the rebellion.

In this no-frills place the focus in on the beer and then the amazing food. Some of the best burgers you'll ever come across.

The original and best, fantastic beer selection from the brewery around the corner!

Used to be great but now it's just a run of the mill hipster joint with no personality and terrible management.

Good beer, Good tunes and staff who know what they are talking about. Another venue has just opened up next to me in Sydenham and I am loving it!

If you're into 'craft' beer, whatever the hell that is, then this is the place for you. Stocking its own Late Knights beer, plus Gipsy Hill Brewery, Beavertown and many other wonderful beer, this boozer may be a bit spit and sawdust in its decor, but the beer is superb. Great burgers too...

Friendly staff, the occasional half-price burger and always a reliable selection of cask and keg – this is always my first choice when stumbling off the train at Gipsy Hill after a long day.

Tastemaker

Beer rebellion is effectively my local, and I could'nt be happier about that! It's a wonderful little place, with staff who are friendly, and really know their shizz when it comes to yeast and hops. That's about my knowledge summed up! I'll stick to the drinking! It's very cosy upstairs, with a relaxed and informal feel, and on most evenings it gets full by about 7pm, which can only be a good sight. The menu is small, and done well, burgers being of top quality, if a little messy. I quite like the fact they take such care and attention with their fare, and present it nice and simply on random old plates, pint of fries - usually gets ordered too. There is a lower level with eclectic seating, beer kegs with padded tops, low lighting. The crowd is mixed, young things and office smo's alike tucking into great beer and burgers. It's simple, unaffected and it's a cool spot. A great find!

Alternatives to rammed pubs and Heineken Cans . This is the way to forward to Beer consumption. Thumbs up for the best burgers on this side of the pond.
