This longstanding Highgate spot still draws the north London crowds, thanks mostly to a packed line-up of live music, comedy, quizzes and themed DJ nights. The whole place was recently given a new lick of paint and there's decent food too, courtesy of Caboose – a slick street-food operation doing the dude-food thing. Keep an eye out for interesting-looking art exhibitions, too.

Went here with some mates and the little man on the door (think the owner) was so rude and obnoxious I would recommend everyone to stay away! Small man syndrome and a little old terrier by his side makes for a fun night tear up but not with the hassle! Stay clear!!

Lovely, intimate, old school gem of a bar with brilliant music for dancing. When a remix of Minnie The Moocher came on I knew this was my kind of place! I'm not sure what the unfriendly experience was that the people below had, but my experience has always been fun and friendly, a bit like going to a friend's house party with a whole lot of new friends you haven't met yet. Also they have craft nights and vintage markets. I haven't been in a while since I moved from north London but worth a visit if you're local.

I love this place! I can pop by on my night bus on my way home for a little dance and a beer. Everyone is friendly and people a little crazy but all there for a good time.

I haven't eaten here but it's a great little spot for a great night out

Nice enough place, shame about the owner. If you're female and fancy working here, expect him to invite you upstairs the odd time, and it won't be to look at his etchings.

This is an odd pub. In prime position, next to Highgate station, sits this place. The owner is crazy, but that's by the by. It is a piece of old London night life and manages to still pack them in of an evening. It also hasn't changed since forever. Kind of a living mural to what was,is and very well might be. You never know what you are going to get with this place be it a punk night, dirty beats,80's classics, comedy, pub quiz or even a jumble sale! The Boogaloo is a hub of activity. Worth a visit if you are around Highgate and want a pint and some peanuts.

The Boogaloo has an authentic pub atmosphere plus great staff and live music!

There's no where else in London like this- Quiz nights, board game nights, swing dance lessons, live DJs, pop up restaurants, random gigs by the Libertines and Chrissie Hynde... AND A IT'S OWN RADIO STATION... oh and it's in Narnia aka Highgate. Best place in the world.

I've been coming to the Boogaloo for years, and it's still one of the best nights out in town!

Well priced beers, band, quiz, comedy, opening hours, deals and dances. Proper fun local

Best pub in all of north London! Great atmosphere, staff and the best banter! Love this place :)

Really great staff, really great owners, really great food, really great booze, really great music and really great vibe!!!! Just really great!!!!

Greatest pub in North London! Best music, vibe, ambience, friendly staff, dog friendly...need I say more?

Highly recommend this pub- reminds me of fond memories as I visited most Sundays to hear the then in house singer songwriter Bap Kennedy & band.

Staff were always busy yet friendly. Anyone with good taste in music would love a pop in & a pint.

An irrefutably legendary venue run by an irrefutably legendary landlord. Part of London's folk history.

Used to enjoy visiting during the quiter evening hours for a little night cap and some small talk with the locals, one night I was told by the owner to never go back again. No reason given, never caused any trouble, first time I've been barred from a public place of any kind. Very disappointing and I urge people to go elsewhere where their custom is actually appreciated.

I have had so many great nights out here. The pub has load of events on and great live music. Currently they are serving burgers from cahoots which a really good. Nice garden area.

Very pretentious place especially the staff and bouncers! just looking for money, no smile no discussion (and they had time) nothing else than money............! stupid people THE CUSTOMERS ARE YOUR SALARY !!!!!!!
