Bounce Old Street

Time Out says

This second venue from the ping pong bar Bounce opened its in Old Street in autumn 2015. And these guys aren't messing around. With 17 bespoke tables and a private room, this is a place to get seriously competitive.

Expect an east London twist, as luxe furnishings meet urban style and UV lighting. As well as ballgames, there's an open-plan restaurant serving up traditional Italian pizzas along a 25-foot pizza counter, and suave cocktails from the bar, neither of which are likely to improve your game, but will make for a great night out.

The original Bounce, which is based in Farringdon, is allegedly located on the very spot that the beautiful, bouncy game was invented.

Bounce Old Street says
The newest edition to Bounce London's family. Bounce Old Street combines everything you love about the Farringdon original, but with a further focus on quality music and the east London crowd. Combined with 17 ping pong tables, amazingly good cocktail and bar selections and food by exec chef Richard Edney. Bounce Old Street is a one stop shop for a night out with friends or in a couple.

We also play host to top DJs including Mighty Atom, Ryan Russ, and Bex & Belle, playing classic disco, funk, soul, golden era hip hop and R&B... as well as classic pop moments from the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s.

Bounce has just launched a new concept called Wonderball. It's not Ping Pong, but it is a completely new immersive activity. Using state of the art projection mapping, each Wonderball table becomes a giant computer game, introducing a whole new way for groups to play - with very little skill needed.

Been to this branch of Bounce numerous times and still not bored of it! It's the perfect place for groups of people, so whether you're celebrating a friend's birthday or out with work colleagues for a Christmas party, you can never go wrong! The ping pong gets everyones competitive spirits on, paired with their delicious cocktails, and after all thats done you can get some yummy pizzas and stay and have a meal. All under one roof, perfect!

Bounce is an amazing place for smallish groups to have fun for few hours to start a night out for instance. I've been there last weekend for a birthday and loads of people we out for their Christmas parties which was pretty fun. The Bounce in Old street really plays the game with full Christmas playlist + decorations.
One of the really cool things in this place is that you don't have to run after the ping pong balls in the crowd as members of staff are walking around the place picking them up for you with a really fun tool (a must see!).

I haven't try the food yet but pizzas look amazing. Drinks wise we're looking at normal London price (£4.50/£5 for a pint).
I've been to Bounce a few time now and it's always great fun so I'd definitely recommend it.

We went for their Sunday brunch event - two hours of ping pong, unlimited prosecco and unlimited pizza - pretty good! It's quite pricey, but they don't hold back with the food and drinks. They also had a couple of staff members organising games in the middle, which made it more fun, and you can win a medal! Tables are a free for all, so get there on timeto bagsy one. Generally a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon, especially if you can drink £30 worth of prosecco in two hours!

An underground hidden gem found in the energetic part of London. Bring your friends for an experience like no other. Great food, delicious drinks and yes, there is ping pong to keep you entertained. Join the fun!

Such a great way to relax, play a few games, eat and drink! Great staff make it!

If you cant break a smile when your ping and ponging then there's something wrong with you! This place is full of smiles and it breaks any barriers! Perfect for awkward first dates or team building with the office. I went here with 5 colleagues and we booked for an hour at 1800 on a Friday night. Its so popular and I am so thankful to the staff who refill your bucket of balls because we lost ours quite a few times! All equipment is supplied and you can only laugh at those who are so competitive to those who cant even hit the ball! Fun times with drinks (table service if youre playing). I didnt eat but we did observe theres a lot of pizza on the menu but it looked good stuff (I was with an Italian who refused to eat the pizza). Also there is a private area if you wanted to be exclusive and VIP. I think this place rocks and although a little steep for me (Hence 4 stars) its a great place for some fun :)

Ping pong and alcohol? Perfect!

Bounce's new-ish branch by Old Street station has a more chilled out vibe than the original Farringdon branch (this could have been because it was Sunday afternoon - surely that is prime time for ping pong right?). The whole place feels less crammed and therefore more relaxing.
Yes when you first see the cost it seems pretty steep but £20 for an hour between 4 (or worst case 2 - at least it'll never be for 1?) for some crazy ping pong fun is a good deal in my opinion!
You can book a table for either 30 minutes or 1 hour and of course all bats and balls are provided. There is also a private area with 3-4 tables in which you can hire out.
Either way it is great for a post work meet up, a rainy day activity or an event (birthday, work do etc) and let me tell you it gets pretty addictive - the minutes fly by.
For those more interested in the food & drink - in need of some courage or dying for some sustenance after all that ping ponging - they have a bar right next to the ping pong table and also serve some pretty decent pizzas (there are real tables for food).
This place offers guaranteed fun so get going!

I didn't really get Bounce. It isn't really a great place to have a drink and chat due to the noise and all the balls flying around. It also isn't the best place to play table tennis as all the tables are jam packed in. That accompanied by wandering pint-handed guests and ball collectors hoovering up an endless stream of rogue shots it was very easy to crash into people while trying to enjoy the game. More space per table would definitely make it better but I think this is trying to cash in on a trend rather than cater to any specific market judging by the demographic when I was there. Most people just wanted to have a drink and found the tables a novelty.

It's about time they brought ping pong to the trendy east side. Opening last month near trendy old street, bounce is the ultimate place to kick your friends butt at table tennis... Or at least try. The lovely lady who took my booking was great. I would suggest making a booking to ensure you get a table. The atmosphere inside is super cool with a rustic warehouse feel. There is a huge bar for those that want to drink and eat and loads of tables that can be booked by the hour. I loved the ping pong ball staff with their nets collecting all the stray balls. Pro tip: great date place as you can have a drink and a 30 minute game and if all goes well grab dinner afterwards in trendy Shoreditch.
