I love all the Brewdog pubs, but this was my first visit to Brewdog Clerkenwell. And it did not disappoint. Plenty of tables split across different levels inside the pub, a lively atmosphere, friendly staff, and the same selection of great beers that can be found in all the pubs of this name. Excellent choice for a drink in the area.
BrewDog Clerkenwell has to be my favourite BrewDog of all. It is not as crowded as some of the other venues (Shoreditch) and it has a much more chill atmosphere. This is the perfect venue to idly drink your Saturday away. The staff are attentive and also give good recommendations. The range on offer is similar to most BrewDog outlets, which is to say a whole lot better than your average local. It is almost guaranteed to hold a guest beer or six you have never heard of let alone tasted. Prices are reasonable for what you are getting too!
Out of all the Brewdog establishments in London, the one in
Clerkenwell is probably my favourite. And actually, we really need to talk
about how great Clerkenwell is. So centrally located but out of reach of the
crowds and tourists. Sorry tourists, you’re not the worst but sometimes it’s
nice to have somewhere that’s actually local.
Anyways, the Brewdog Clerkenwell is pretty great for that
reason – great boozer with excellent craft beer, without too many people. It
gets a bit busy after the work day, with work crowds, but the weekend is
pleasantly quiet. A bit pricey, but it is craft beer in central London.
I should point out at the beginning, that I own some equity in Brewdog. However, the comments below are my own provided in a personal capacity. The range of beers sold by Brewdog is extensive and you are bound to find one you like. It's a little on the expensive side, but the quality of beer is better. We also had some food, which was good - the kale and beef salad was great!
Having been here for drinks with friends/coworkers and on dates, I'd say its got the best of both worlds, beer, music and the environment to have a good chat.
The vast selection of beers can have you trying a different one for hours, comparing notes on flavor and "drinkability" with anyone who can hold their liquor. The perfect test for a new love interest.
I recommend ordering the lesser known Brewdog beers as they all have very different flavors. If you're not a beer drinker, take advantage of the outdoor tables to people watch and maybe catch a couple of sun-rays this spring.
I went to BrewDog in Clerkenwell for a friend's birthday drinks last week and the atmosphere was relaxed but lively. There are a number of larger tables you can reserve as well as a nice little separate room which seats about 15 people.
The beers are great of course and there is a wide selection. There was even a gluten free pale ale!
I was most impressed by the food though. The prices are alright and everything we tried was great. My favorite were the spicy buffalo chicken wings - so good! I'm hoping to be back soon.
