‘WARNING!!! STRONGBOW NOT SOLD HERE!!!’ The chalkboard barking that message across the bar at Euston Cider Tap makes it clear that you’re in the wrong place if you just want a pint of bog-standard appley fizz. Instead, this warm and welcoming former gatehouse offers more than 15 still and sparkling ciders on draught and straight from the keg, along with an impressive selection of bottles.

This is a proper destination for hardcore cider fans, but it’s also a great place for the uninitiated to find out what lies beyond the gassy golden pints that pass as cider these days. A huge wall of slate spells out the current selection – most priced at £3.60 a pint – and passionate staff are on hand to give tasters and advice. By the time you leave you’ll never settle for a Strongbow again.

Cider tap is probably the only reason that missing your train in Euston is not such a bad thing. They also serve mead!

I'm lucky enough for the Cider Tap to be my work local and enjoy entertaining and showing off the gem to my mates and visitors.

It is a unique bar in the heart of London, one of very few places that have 15 dedicated ciders from all over the UK to try. The ciders change very regularly so there are new surprises every time. And the best part, the prices are cheap, not just London cheap but very fairly priced. My favourite is definitely the Honey Dew Cider.

The menu is seasonal, promotes the best of British local cider and I am so excited to see what the Autumn menu delivers!

I took a visitor from Somerset to the Cider Tap and they gave it two thumbs up. A great selection of cider to try, there's bound to be something for everyone. It's pretty small so either try and get yourself a table upstairs (yes there's an upstairs!) or wrap up warm and sit outside.

It doesnt look like much from the outside - but really worth a visit.

Best cider I've had in London.

A small pub, sometimes with an odd smell, but always with great still, sparklng, dry, sweet, fruity, scrumpy and bottled cider. Plus mulled in winter.

This pub is also paired with the Euston Tap across the road, so it gets a share of the profits. Which is good because it's rarely full, and as a consequence a much nicer experience than it's brother. Sometimes the clientèle at the Euston Tap feels like a celebration of the causes of the banking crisis. In the cider tap you can nearly always get a seat amongst more... country-looking folk.

First visit yesterday, what a pleasant and unusual place. Really superb cider (try welsh warrior) and very pleasant staff. Looking forward to returning, can't understand why it wasn't much busier on a Saturday. Well done all involved.

Much more seating than euston tap and a more relaxed vibe. Not being a great cider fan in the past, it has beers on tap as well so happy. Prices excellent value. No idiots. And no stupid branding. Good.
