Time Out says

'Comer, beber, dancar' or 'eat, drink, dance' is the USP at Shoreditch's Floripa. And they deliver too: decent cocktails (try the lemon daiquiri), good food and live music are all served up within a tropical decor. Their Sunday roast with a Brazilian twist – picanha (top sirloin) beef and pão de queijo (cheese bread) yorkshire pudding – is worth investigating’. Weekends see the place opening until 3am with DJs spinning funk, reggae, disco and '50s rock ’n’ roll on various nights.

Awful. Five pounds for a can of beer, and then on top of that the bouncers stole our coats and wallets and demanded we paid to get them back. Only backed down when we threatened to call the police. Avoid at all costs.

I came here when my American friends came to town.. It was a spontaneous drop off and boy did it prove to be a good idea! There's a 10 quid entry fee which comes with a shot. Yummy.

They do a group fish bowl cocktail which is £40 and massive!

They didn't skimp on the alcohol either so that was a pro!

The tunes were blazing all night and we danced till it actually closed at 3am haha. Also at some point they have confetti fall from the skies and it's honestly like being at the Brazilian carnival... Love this spot and would return for another night out.

Chilling here for an after work drink? Yes. Making it your Friday night destination = not worth it. The best part of this place is the outdoor space out front in summer. The last few times I've been, the service has been sloppy, the bathrooms a wreck and the music so loud you couldn't order a drink.

Floripa's look and vibe is a bit dated for Shoreditch and would probably be more successful near Leicester Square. If they can manage to come up with a more current atmosphere I'm sure they could work their other issues out.

Floripa is an interesting option in Shoreditch. We visited recently for a colleagues leaving drinks. Latin American theme the bar has a cool vibe to it. They do have happy hour specials but wine options are no longer included in that, despite what there menus say. They need updating. It's not a venue I would recommend visiting for the food alone I'm sorry to say, it's good an option for drinks and nibbles to go with, there's no added trimmings.

These guys mix a mean cocktail. The caipirinha was one of the best I've tasted in London, and there's a great selection of Brazilian inspired specialities to try out.

This is a great after-work spot if you need to throw off the day and be transported to a different place for a little while. Really nice vibes, good music and lots of specials at the bar.

Cool please, definitely needs booking in advance if you go with a bigger group. Nice alcohol offers and music.

I'm very disappointed I was expecting a real Brazilian atmosphere even wasn't any Brazilian people over there. When a google for a Brazilian club was showing Floripa but just a name nothing else .

What an adorable find! I was so suprised by the charming decor as I entered the bar that I never wanted to leave!
Gives a nice kick to the end of the day in gloomy London weather and takes you somewhere... erm... well ...more tropical!

Bright, fun and vibrant bar. Enjoyed the cocktails and some small bites. Visited on a weekday evening and there was a live band performing, which added to a casual atmosphere. A little loud with the live music if you're looking for somewhere to have an intimate conversation, if not it's a fun place to hang out. When good weather strikes the tables spill outdoors for some alfresco drinking and dinning.

We were just passing by on Saturday and decided to pop in and check it out.  6 hours later the lights were coming on.  Not only had we partied the night away, we also had some of the most delicious Brazilian food I have ever eaten, met the chef who is from Brazil and run through most of the cocktail menu.  I will definitely be back!!

Had a night out with my partner just to celebrate a week end.

This space is great!

Great traditional Brazilian food ,I had the steak it was juicy and moist my partner had the fish moqueca.

Than the passion fruit mousse and papaya closed our night.

It looked busy but the staff managed to make the customers happy.

About money vs value I would say that is pretty good considering the location.

What an amazing venue. happened to stumble upon it last night when a group of us were looking for some midweek cocktails and bites to eat. we were absolutely blown away by the music they had on, think it was an event called Jam Tart. they had great platters and a selection of tapas dishes and a good range for vegetarians. the staff were really helpful. will definitely be coming back here, think this will be my summer hang out.

Awful Experience, food was bland and shocking service; got told by the waitress to be unable to order because they were serving other tables – ridiculous- we went to celebrate my friend’s birthday and by 9 we were told to vacate the table – in an unacceptable rude way- because it was book previously when we did book the table months in advance.

The menu is not the same in the web that the one they give you when you're going to order. If you get there after 9, even though you have a booking and you are going to have dinner, you are charged with 5 extra pound to go into. The waitress sat down in our table to write down our order in a paper napkin (!!!). Food very normal, nothing extraordinary and some portions weren't kind of short. The cocktails are from miles away the best of this place. From our point of view It was not a good restaurant, it was just a pretentious club....just a wannabe!

When my party arrived we were instantly struck by the decoration and we were rapidly whisked away to Brazil with delicious tapas (you have order a couple of dishes per person), superb cocktails and very help staff. Before we new it the table had been abandoned and we were dancing to a crazy Dj who played everything from D&B, classical, cheese, dance and everything you can think of! It was an epic night and we will definitely be back!!!

Good cocktails. Shame about the rude manager. I went here thinking we'd get discount with the Taste card. Unfortunately we hadn't t booked in advance so had to pay full price for the food. It was pretty average and definitely not worthy of the full menu price for the quality and size of the portions.
