When it opens its doors on May 7, Freight Brixton will be the city’s largest rooftop venue. More than just a bar, the venue will also bring good food and bangin’ tunes to the heart of south London. Located just minutes away from Brixton tube, the 1,000+ capacity open-air venue will sit adjacent to Brixton Village Market and opposite Pop Brixton’s shipping containers. It may offer some healthy competition for other popular rooftop venues south of the river (we’re looking at you Frank’s). Expect chef residencies, cocktail bars, live music, DJ collectives, food festivals and a chance to watch the footy in the sunshine all spring and summer long.

London Taco Experience

Eight of the city’s greatest taco traders will gather together at Freight Brixton for the next edition of the London Taco Experience. MexClub will be at the spice fest with its chicken tinga tacos, joined by Los Gordos with its roast spicy plantain tacos, Polanco with its baja fish tacos, and more. Accompanying all of that will be flowing margaritas and micheladas, mezcak tasting, a hot sauce showcase, DJ sets and a live mariachi band. The tacos will cost no more than £4.50 so that punters can get their teeth around as many as possible. 

The London Taco Experience

Tacos are having a bit of a moment, and they deserve their spot in the limelight: done right, they're light and bursting with so much flavour that portion control becomes a truly irrelevant concept. You can sample different kinds to your heart's content at the London Taco Experience, an outdoor event that brings together eight of this city's most hyped traders for a day of Mexican flavours and fun. Book one of two sessions (11am-4pm or 5pm-10pm) and you'll get to fill your plate with tacos galore, trial new chili at a Hot Sauce Showcase, taste Mezcal and enjoy live DJs and surprise entertainment. Delicious.
