Venue says Golden Bee will be closed until late March 2017 while we do some amazing refurbishments and improve our space.

It's all about the party at this cocktail bar on Singer Street, just around the corner from Old Street tube. Resident DJs at the weekend bring the tunes (house and club classics, mainly), with many of the Monday nights devoted to film screenings up on the rooftop terrace - complete with bottomless popcorn and a blanket, lest it get nippy.

The drinks list is certainly extensive. Spirits - available by the bottle and the measure - range from the well-known to the rare. Many contribute to a cocktail list chock-full of martinis, margaritas, mojitos, flutes, shots and the Golden Bee - a house drop of Olmeca Reposado tequila served with crushed ice, Pisang Ambon banana liqueur, passion fruit sugar, lemon and cloudy apple juice. There's a solid selection of wines, too.

There’s no kitchen, but give them a buzz a few hours (well, 48, actually) before you head down and they’ll order in sushi platters for you. That’s the kind of out-of-the-box thinking we like.

We had an amazing night at the Golden Bee last Friday! We went for a company night out and were about 20 people, everyone had so much fun. The roof terrace was so nice! The music, drinks and costumer service were great too! We will definitely be back. Special thanks to Gosh who did the booking procedure so smooth and easy to us.

Had a night out on the 18th we had a really good night, roof terrace is wicked bar staff upstairs and downstairs all really nice...baring in mind it was really busy I think they coped really well.

Had a dance downstairs too...must say this was my second visit here and I would most definitely go again.

Drinks are reasonable too, and taste good!!!!!!! You can definitely taste the alcohol!!!!! Loved it.

Door man were all very polite didn't have a problem at all. Not arrogant like some places I've been too.

Wicked night

Two floors of live music, outdoor seating, fires, heaters and delicious martinis decorated with little golden bee chocolates. The only downside is that the slippery metal staircase gets increasingly treacherous as the night goes on.

This place is amazing - great rooftop in both winter and summer. They provide blankets, outdoor heaters and fire pits during the winter/ The cocktails are delicious, my favourite being the one with Haribo sweets on top!

Great after work venue or weekend night out. I'd recommend Booking an area on the balcony (weather permitting), with its warm heaters & open fire you can stay there all night. Music is great & cocktails are a treat.

Doesn't get more central Shoreditch than this, lovely place to get after work drinks. Quite busy especially on Fridays.
Overall, good vibes and nice cocktails as well!

I went to Golden Bee on Friday night for drinks with a party of 15.  We were on the roof terrace which was lovely.  There is a Fire-pit and heaters all around.  The Management were great and I must say I did not find the place overcrowded at all.  There is a downstairs bar and outside terrace which is well able to accommodate the crowds.

Music and drinks were fab.  I totally recommend this place its so different from the grungy Shoreditch scene with its refreshing decor.

Great venue! Been there last weekend and the venue is beautiful with three different areas including a lovely roof terrace. Great for a sunny day in Shoreditch! Will be definitely coming back for those delicious cocktails.

Really cool bar. Great vibe and nice post-work crowd. London has been in need of another decent rooftop bar or a while now and this is something quite unique. Will definitely go there again in the near future!

The Golden Bee is a great option for 'City meets Shoreditch' drinks. I've often visited the establishment with colleagues and girlfriends and not being disappointed. I have to say however I visit the venue for the roof top bar, and find the downstairs small, dark and lacking atmosphere-until it gets livelier later in the evening. So if your heading there, head straight for the roof. Generally it pays to book for the sunny summer evenings (but I have managed to swing it with out a booking with a small group). I should also mention that with the fire pits lit this can be an option to impress a first date also. Cocktails are good, and the view over Old Street is lovely!

We had a short lived, horrible time at the Golden Bee. Having booked for a party of 15 on the guest list, our party was refused entry as it wasn't a 50/50 split of males/females. Whilst a fraction of the party arrived and got in, sadly the birthday person was refused entry. The whole needing to have a '50/50 split' of guests was never mentioned to me upon booking (both speaking to someone over the phone or in the email confirmation from DesginMyNight). Not impressed at all and I will definitely not be going back.

Wonderful venue, staff and crowd! I love coming here for a guaranteed great night with a fun atmosphere!

This used to be an after work favourite before I moved offices. I loved it because it was a rooftop bar without any pretentiousness. It was always laid back and casual and great for after work drinks. If it's a great view you are after though this is not the place to find it. The cocktails are average and not overpriced and they have a happy hour until 7pm Mon-Thur. During the winter though the outside space is not ideal and the inside space is pretty small, tacky and too loud.

Really cool rooftop bar with amazing cocktails and a 2-for-1 happy hour, even on Fridays! I visited a couple of Fridays ago for after work drinks, really good atmosphere and music on the outside terrace with plenty of heaters. I would definitely recommend drinks here and am looking forward to my next visit!

One of the worst bars in London. Always over capacity with stupidly long waiting times at the bar. If you want somewhere cool with good music and nice people, go somwhere else. Best avoided.

Avoid like the plague.. Horrendous place, have never dealt with such obnoxious and arrogant people as the owners of Golden Bee! Staff are outrageously rude and even shouted at me down the phone and hung up. worst customer service I've ever experienced, followed by a £125 cancellation fee when I asked them not to cancel my booking!
