London Cocktail Club

While other cocktail joints get bogged down in po-faced geekery, this loud ’n’ lairy basement bar is all about the good times. The soundtrack is eclectic but hails mostly from the ‘90s, the walls are clad in garish naval tattoo decals and waiting staff are dangerously close to TGI Friday’s territory in the ‘HEY GUYS HOW'S IT GOING!’ stakes. Play along, though – the drinks are excellent.

Classics – like the silky smooth white lady (gin, triple sec, lemon juice, sugar syrup and egg white) – are well prepared and demurely presented. Between these and £100-plus showpiece sharers are LCC’s signature drinks, which pack a little bit of razzmatazz without compromising on palatability. The Smoking Barrel – scotch whisky, sweet vermouth, cherry liquer and angostura bitters – comes served in a large crystal decanter full of woodsmoke: a delightful multisensory treat.

London Cocktail Club says
Old school British Navy-style pin-ups and of course skull and crossbones adorn the walls. Not to mention our bespoke tattoo artwork created by the awesome Rose Whittaker. Cut from the same cloth as the other LCCs, it’s a post-work, hair-down, ties-off celebration of the consequence-free drinking.

This is a really cool little bar. As others have mentioned, it is pretty small and therefore gets really busy, but the cocktails make it all worth it... They're a little expensive, but if you go during happy hour it's great value for money.

What a night, tried to drink our way thought the menu, all of which was amazing! I woke up with two new friends crashed in my apartment and seem to remember tweeting a picture of me drinking out of a Tate & Lyle tin which im pretty sure hasn't happened before. Would recommend this place to anybody who likes a party and loves a good drink!!

amazing night out! i had sooooo much fun! the cocktails where affordable, the staff are hilarious, and all my party had a great time! thank you LCC!

There was a huge group of us here on Saturday night, it was really lively and the music was great -- everyone loved it because we knew all the words to the songs unlike some of the other bars around. The bartenders were quick, friendly and hot! 5 stars!

My favourite of the London Cocktail Clubs with the most fun theme. I love love love the Sailor Jerry-esque tattoo styling and rum bar theme, you find yourself chatting to strangers and the bar staff and making new friends in the ladies' loo, it's just that kind of place. Not cheap, but cocktail bars aren't! At least you get a party atmosphere with your rum.

Visited here with a few friends recently, it was one of the only places that had a table free at short notice on a Saturday night. We had such a cracking night! Our waitress was very attentive and friendly and even abided our slight tipsiness, which involved us moving a table to create a dance floor. Having sampled rather a lot of the menu I can testify that they're all delicious cocktails, with a good bit of creativity chucked in the mix. The music really got us going too, proper party tunes to kick off your night. Just be prepared to shell out a bob or two, it's not cheap, but great fun.

Yesterday evening i was invited fo celebrate my friends bd in this place. I was late and guys were already drinkin there for 2-3 h. I had coctail and then i order a round of shots for my friends and cocktails for me and my bf. Waiter mixed up a bit but this was fine. Place was crouded. After hour or so several new friends arrived and few were gone (they were a bit drunk:) so i wanted to order second round of drinks. But bartender refuse to serve me. He just showed me direction where my friends were. But.. he didnt askes what i want. So event if i had i mind to order some water or a coctail only for me.... i complained and manager agreed that i am not drunk and strange that i was not served. But afrer, same bartender was sended to me to tel me that i was not served because some friends were drunk. (Even if few people was new and drunk were gone home) . I could show that we have new people and so.. but i didnt wanned to argue. So we just vent elsewhere..

Came here on friday and it was good fun, at first really crowded and music was ok! but it got better later on, make sure you reserve a seat!

Our bartender also used half a bottle of our vodka and some contrieu for a group sitting next to us. IF he has asked, I am sure we would have obliged and gave it to them, but the fact he took it without asking and just shrugged it off when confronted ab

Booked a space here for pre theatre get together. I was surprised to arrive a few minutes early for my booking and be told it wasn't open - but they were very friendly and let me sit while they set up. Monday's is happy hour all night.

My first impressions was it was a pretty scuzzy place. The photos make it look quite smart but it is actually pretty grimy and old. But that didn't put us off - between the 7/8 of us we tried a good range of cocktails in the 90 mins or so we had. They was a huge variety - menu could be better arranged to help choice by spirit. Service at first was really friendly and attentive. Could do with a way of attracting attention in the relatively dark bar after it gets busier - we were in an alcove which made things trickier.

From memory I had one with a burning passion fruit that was delicious - one called "The Dude" a creamy rum one - that was too creamy for me and a delicious and perfectly delivered twist on an espresso martini called Bump n Grind.

I would definitely go back as it was good value and fun but i would be sure not to wear my best glad rags as the place left me feeling like a little soiled!

This is a great little cocktail bar just, with an incredibly creative cocktail list that is sure to have you trying multiple different things, and at no more than £9.50 a cocktail it is not too badly priced by London standards. That said the sharing cocktails aren't cheap (up to £100) even with a large number of straws sticking out of them. it can take a while to make the cocktails but that's because they make them well and with a bit of a show so what does it matter when the place also has a fun atmosphere and a great playlist.

The worst bar you could ever go to. Music is lame, barmen are rude, cocktails are very expensive and extremely bad. Got sick for the whole night afterwards. Don't recommend this place at all. It should just be permanently shut!

Great fun night out BUT be warned: if you think booking a table in advance gets you one... it doesn't. I booked a table for 10 for by birthday, by email, which was confirmed. When we arrived our 'table' was a ledge by the bar which we actually couldn't get to. After some very dodgy explainations, the very lovely waiter helped us grab some chairs and take over some space. Sadly the manager refused my request to talk to me. Shame on him.
