Time Out says

The main focus of this Kingsland Road spot is cocktails – served from early evening until the wee hours. During the day it's a swanky-looking café, offering simple breakfasts followed by Mediterranean small plates throughout the rest of the day.

The cocktail list ranges from classics to house creations. Options include a black sea (vodka, mint, blackberries, cranberry juice, olive oil and lemon, served with squid ink seaweed and salmon roe) a salted almond (Abelha cachaca, kombucha, orgeat syrup, lemon juice, celery bitters and salt) and the supreme expression – a glass of Havana Maximo served with a Cohiba Cuban cigar and caviar.

Keep an eye out for special events and cocktail masterclasses, too.

Spent a fantastic afternoon with Heidi yesterday at their gin masterclass for hubbies birthday treat.

What an excellent afternoon and wonderfully executed- great history, entertaining and fun, especially getting a chance to get the other side of the bar to be taught how to make cocktails like a pro.

The delicious cocktails were AMAZING!

Mapmaison is a beautiful cocktail bar in Haggerston on Kingsland Road serving inventive cocktails and accompanying tapas dishes.

The first thing that stood out to me was the gorgeous exterior of the bar, which was really inviting. It is also really cosy inside with a small number of stools by the bar and sofas / tables further down. There is a huge selection of premium alcohols, including japanese whiskey!

There are a number of cocktails on the menu (which is changed frequently) and we were given some helpful tips on what to choose! We went for A Classy Affair (Hendrick’s gin, vodka, lemon juice, cucumber, basil and agave syrup and The Perfect Poison (Vodka, Passion Fruit, fresh raspberries, lime juice and gingerbread syrup) – I really rated this cocktail – the gingerbread added a real kick.

We were also went slightly off menu and received a gin based Wimbledon themed special cocktail, which was pretty cool and a tequilla and prosecco based cocktail.

To soak up the alcohol we had a couple of tapas dishes – the selection of iberico ham and six mini cheeseburgers – loved the ham and you can actually see the cut of iberico in the bar!

Definitely check this bar out – they also offer afternoon tea and cocktail making classes too! Oh and it is 241 cocktails between 4-6pm.

Have been here several times for the past six months and it never fails to surprise me. Cocktails are innovative and the list changes regularly. Selection of cheese and their iberico ham is to die for. Some serious rarities when it comes to their Japanese whisky selection.

Cocktails are not really my thing so I was overwhelmingly surprised when I visited MAP Maison thinking it was all about the cocktails. It's much more than that; their selection of tapas is delicious, interesting and beautifully presented. Great place to come for tapas. To top it up they have a really awesome collection of teas.

This place is the business! I've been coming here for all types of occasions and have never been let down.

Highly recommend

Brilliant mixology, old school real drinks best whisky selection in London while the technique and knowledge is really put to practice.

This place is mind blowing!!!! I look forward to my next visit when I'm back from NYC! Amazing customer service

A great little spot which you would easily miss if you had your head stuck in your phone. A beautiful bar, beautiful cocktails and lovely bar staff who are only too happy to help you choose your tipple if you don’t know which one to have. I was there when it wasn’t too busy but, seeing as it’s quite small, I imagine this would change in an instant if you get one or two larger groups make their way in. Although none were running when I was there, they do hold cocktail making courses which, given the atmosphere, would be an awesome activity to do with a few mates.

What an absolute hidden gem.

Cute bar, cute waiters ;)

Pretty cool date spot.

Perfect poison is my favorite cocktail!!!

A really cute cocktail bar!! Awesome cocktails, especially awesome on 241!!! The staff are super friendly and attentive. Cool music and really nice chilled atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit, I'll be going back there that's for sure!

A great find in Haggerston. The staff are friendly and know how to make a wicked cocktail. I would definitely recommend to anyone for a great cocktail and chilled night with great music. I have been a couple of times now and will be definitely coming back soon!

An absolute gem in East London! Such a cosy neighbourhood bar with the best bartenders, serving the best Negroni in town! xxx

A new trendy bar in haggerston. Inside is much smaller than expected and if you want to get away from the crowded bar I would advise booking.

The cocktails were reasonably priced except some expensive quirky cocktails.

The menu in the evening is limited but the bread basket was amazing and very big.

It felt like a bar in Mayfair, definitely not haggerston.

Recommend for a fancy cocktail night out in haggerston with good music.
